Monica Woelfel received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. Her fiction, nonfiction and poetry has appeared in a variety of publications, including Event and The North American Review. She is currently a Washington State Artist in Residence and lives with her husband in the San Juan Islands.
