Cheers

Have
some real taste, a dose of my heart.
There
won’t be any details, yells, or any of the
nightlong
discussions with old – but now forgotten – lovers,
we
will drink only to the truth and its questions.
Have
you ever loved a woman? Have you ever kissed a woman?
Have
you ever thought of killing yourself?
Have
you ever hated your parents for a moment?
Have
you ever loved a man? Do you think you can love me as well?
If
I say yes to all of the above, will that solve your doubts,
your should-I-trust-the
relationship issues?
I don’t
think
it would, but I will tell you one thing about
real
truths. They are never pleasant.
Before
you start loving, pay attention and drink it very,
very
slowly, savouring the nuances, the enigmatic flavours of one,
a
one-other different from you or me. If successful, let them stay
in
your life as though they were an expensive and favourite bottle of
wine.
Full-bodied,
dark, immersed in aromas
which
always come forth at the first scents but never at the end.
And
please remember. At first scent you can never tell if, at the last,
your
mouth will keep a bitter, acid aftertaste – or, instead, a
chocolate,
oak-flavoured, ripe taste of grapes. There are no
guarantees. You will
have to drink,
taste
and love it for yourself.
Cheers.
