    describes his books to a plain couple
who have never read them

        his country to a couple with
    placid advice, classical music emanates
from above people who could not

identify its century. In the bar
        of expensive potted plants an ugly
    woman in expensive clothes

     is the centrepiece. If this night
      is for sale, the tired poet
    in the smelly blue jeans

        isnt buying
    more than one more Molson Export Ale.
