David Abram is an independent scholar and writer, who currently sits on the boards of a variety of political and environmental organizations, including one that is actively addressing the current situation in the Middle East. He is the author of The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-than-Human World. (Pantheon Books, 1996).
